Coats to Caring Program

Coats to Caring Program was created by Billy Landry, a Hand Up Ministries, Inc. resident.  Billy, on his on time and expense, began the Coats to Caring Program as a class project, which became a reality.  He spent many hours making contact with churches in the Oklahoma City, OK area for donation support.  With positive feedback from several Churches and a promises of assistance, he continues his search for coat donations and/or financial donations.  Presently, Billy has the Coats to Caring Program pamphlets on display with a local business.

Winter is difficult for many of the Hand Up Ministries, Inc. residents as they work outside for Hand Up Ministries, Inc. on and off the residential campuses.  Coat donations and/or financial donations are greatly appreciated as the winter months come and go each year.

Food truck donation

Hand Up Ministries will feed 300 to 400 meals per day to residents.  Monthly sponsors are needed to donate 2 food trucks, good used condition or new food trucks.  Hand Up Ministries, Inc. would like to have 3 residents be the cooks to feed the Hand Up Ministries residents (300 t0 400 meals per day) from a Food Truck style restaurant.  Hand Up Ministries would also need 10 to 12 picnic tables and seats for the residents that would like to eat with other residents outside.  Other residents will either pick up their food at the food truck or have assigned residents to pick up their food and bring to them at their resident locations.  Included in the donation of the food truck would be the cooking utensils, cooking equipment for the food preparation and cooking preparation.
