Our mission is to break the cycle of incarceration and homelessness by giving a hand up and not a hand out. We are committed to restoring hope and dignity by providing a place to call home and a pathway to work and self-sufficiency

Word From The Nonprofit

For over 29 years, Hand Up Ministries has been working to break the Cycle of Incarceration & Homelessness for the benefit of Hand Up residents and the communities where they live and work. We break the vicious cycle of incarceration & homelessness by offering a hand up, not a handout. By empowering others through work and a place to belong, hope and dignity are restored, which in turn greatly reduces the chances of former offenders returning to criminal activity. We know that just having an address, a place to call home, is a huge game changer for our residents. We provide food, clothing, shelter, connections to employment, medical care, counseling, assistance getting IDs - everything needed to achieve stability and independence. We can't do it alone and we need your help. Hand Up Ministries is a 501c3 faith organization that depends on the generous support of our volunteers, donors, and community partners to give second chances to the formerly incarcerated and homeless desiring to change.
